The Scams Called Infomercials and why they suck!
Have you ever noticed that late at night especially on Saturday nights or early Sunday mornings, they punish you with these crazy insane infomercials. These infomercials range from a variety of topics from weight loss, exercise, get rich quick schemes, and various other garbage. I find it quite humorous how these infomercials try to bait people into buying this trash. The sad part is, there are many people out there that actually buy into this nonsense.
My favorite ones to laugh at are the ones that say “you can make a million dollars in a few months on the internet” After all, look at all these people willing to give testimonials stating they made such amounts of money. I find this downright hysterical. Everyone and their retarded brother knows these people are paid actors. These actors are paid to try to validate these crazy claims about a product or service. These get rich quick schemes are nothing more than fodder to take money out of peoples pockets. The thing I don’t understand is why the FCC allows these snake-oil garbage infomercials to even air on tv to begin with. I will say however that the get rich quick schemes are not as bad as the weight loss or exercise ones.
If you ever get a chance to watch on of the exercise ones, there are a few keys things to look for. In almost every exercise or weight-loss infomercial, they show these before and after photographs that while may be possible, they are most likely not plausible. I am a slim slender fella, however these infomercials make it out that 100% of everyone who trys there product or service will look like a model in a month or two. This is dishonest, both intellectually and practically.
The weight-loss infomercials also have a theme that tells you “unless you look like one of our models we say lost weight, then your worthless and you will never amount to anything”. these lose weight infomercials actually attack a persons morale and make them feel like garbage, and then offers to relieve of them of this feeling by buying their garbage product for 49.99 or whatever price they charge.I think that kind of advertising should not be allowed, and is complete FUD and rubbish.
The sad thing is, there are so many poor folks out there now days that are vulnerable, and will hinge their hopes on some product in an infomercial that only serves to steal their hard earned money off of them. I am not even going to get into the smiling bob, or any of that other nonsense that is there simply to attack a man’s self-confidence, and then offer to help him by giving him a pill. By the way, those pills have never been proven to do anything. I do find those types of commercials very funny though. I mean sometimes everyone needs a decent laugh now and then.
however, please folks don’t fall for these marketing gimmicks. It is complete utter junk and rubbish that’s all there is too it.

Hard to believe a crook like Kevin Trudeau is allows to operate on the airways. And the male enhancement? Looks like some NASCAR guy is pushing the crap now. I believe America’s collective intellect has taken a nosedive in the last 8 years. I hope the present administration will fund some additional consumer protection. This carp would not have been allowed in the pre-Reagan years. There used to be much more protection until everything was de-regulated. My personal favorite is the colon cleanse guy. He even looks like a con artist. I suppose stupid people deserve to be taken, but I would rather see them protected from spending their hard earned cash on worthless products.
Sorry about the spelling. I am typing in the dark with a tiny nightlight. Oh, the George Foreman infomercials were OK. At least he was pushing a decent product.
