Ixquick search engine offers increased privacy

Ixquick is slowly becoming a very popular search engine on the internet. Ixquick is a meta search engine that pulls its results from various sources, However it differs in its data retention polices that some privacy advocates have cried foul on from Google, Yahoo, Bing, and the other search engines. According to Ixquick’s web site. Ixquick has built its reputation in protecting the privacy of its users. To many internet users, they feel the contents of their searches should remain private and not be used for marketing or targeting advertising data. It seems that this isn’t just hype either. On July 14th of 2008, Ixquick was awarded the European Privacy seal. This means it is the only European Union approved search engine. That is very impressive, and gets a huge two thumbs up from this blogger! It seems i am not the only other blogger that is happy about this search engine as it is getting rave reviews online such as this one blogger’s account of Ixquick.

Ixquick is alsoa pretty good search engine from what I can tell with many queries to test its accuracy. It is pretty close to Google, and should only get even better in the coming months as it seems to improve by the day as they add more and more sites to their search index.
