About Me

Hi I am Ron, and thanks for visiting my blog. I guess this is the page where I am supposed to talk about myself. I have a passion for computers and technology. I can still remember the day I got my first computer. It was a Tandy 1000 with 256k of RAM lol. Many people consider me a computer guru, even though I won’t go as far as to say that. I just simply try to share as much knowledge as I can and learn all I can. I feel I can learn something new everyday.

I am currently a network administrator, and I also fix and repair computers on the side. I have a very in-depth understanding of Windows and Linux/Unix based operating systems. I currently run some flavor of Linux at home on all my personal computers, as I have just found it to be in my opinion more stable and secure than Windows.

I became interested  in computers and technology at a very early age, and ever since the Internet went mainstream to the public, I have just been constantly absorbing as much knowledge as possible ever since. I also have a strong background in Linux and Windows security as well as networking and programming. I also actively contribute what I can to open source projects.

I also have a passing interest in Search Engine Optimization, and Social Networks. I often find myself living on the “Bleeding Edge” when it comes to software. I am almost always willing to try the newest alpha or beta programs of new software that is coming out. This is especially true for Linux where one is always on the bleeding edge when it comes to technology and innovation.

My purpose for starting this blog was to talk about anything that has to do with computers and technology. It also will have a strong focus and slant towards Open-Source Software. Open source is the future as it slowly begins to find its way into the consumer and corporate world alike.
